The Women’s Opportunities Resource Center (WORC) is the first microenterprise program in the Philadelphia area, and one of the oldest in the nation. During our twentyfour years, WORC’s services have drawn national recognition, including the 2001 Presidential Award for Excellence in Micro-enterprise Development: Poverty Alleviation from the United States Department of Treasury, 2005 Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO) Innovation in Technology Award, and Women's Way 2012-2015 Inaugural Action Partner: Self-Sufficiency for Women award.
